ONLINE INTERMEDIATE ARABIC | FALL 25
‘Alf Layla wa-Laylah w/ Yazan | 30h
Description
Storytelling is one of the most central themes in learning about language and culture. Many stories have been attached to the image of Arabs, such as Ali Baba, Aladdin, Juha, Al-Zeer Salem, and many other characters. The ‘Alf Layla wa-Laylah course will focus on storytelling in Palestinian society. We will explore traditions, customs, cultural beliefs, and events within Palestinian society in the form of oral and written stories, in ‘Ammia (Palestinian dialect). We will retell Palestinian folktales and influential Palestinian literary pieces at a level suitable for intermediate students. This Intermediate Arabic course will build on the foundations of our beginner courses, working with different texts and conversation practice. By the end of this course, students should be able to carry out basic conversations in Arabic with native speakers and understand moderately difficult texts. ***** Early Bird Price Start at - 1300 NIS - Until 21/09 Reduced Price Start at - 1400 NIS - Until 12/10 Full Price Start at - 1500 NIS - Until first lesson of the course We have made a small change in our pricing structure and are now offering a sliding scale in order to give you the opportunity to donate 100 or 200 shekels when you buy a course.
