Description

In The Shekel Zone, we dive into the world of economy, money, and power in Israel–Palestine — past and present. Through reading texts, watching videos, and engaging in lively discussions, we'll explore the region’s economic structures and ask critical questions: Is this one economy or two? Who benefits from the current system? How does the occupation affect markets and livelihoods? We’ll examine key historical developments, ongoing economic realities, and everyday life through a socio-economic lens — all while building your Hebrew vocabulary and confidence in speaking. Students will learn essential economic terms in Hebrew, analyze real-world materials, and practice articulating complex ideas in the language. This course is for intermediate learners who want to expand their language skills and deepen their understanding of the region. *** Early Bird Price Start at - 1300 NIS - Until 15/06 Reduced Price Start at - 1400 NIS - Until 06/07 Full Price Start at - 1500 NIS - Until first lesson of the course We have made a small change in our pricing structure and are now offering a sliding scale in order to give you the opportunity to donate 100 or 200 shekels when you buy a course.
