Join Academia for Equality and This Is Not An Ulpan at the House of Solidarity on Monday, June 16 for “What’s Happening on U.S. College Campuses? A Conversation on Struggle, Solidarity, and Repression” with Anat Matar, Mohsen Mahdawi (Zoom), Oren Yiftachel, Smadar Ben-Natan (Zoom), and Yara Gharablé.
Over the past year and a half, students across the U.S. have been mobilizing against the war on Gaza and facing escalating repression from university administrations and the federal government. Under the Trump administration, this crackdown has intensified, with federal education funding and students' immigration statuses being weaponized to intimidate activists and silence dissent.
In this conversation, we’ll be joined by student organizers and academics from the US and Israel/Palestine to understand the Palestine solidarity movement, the role of misinformation, and the institutional pushback they face.
