About the Event
Join This is Not an Ulpan, the Willy Brandt Center, and First Hand Films this May Day for a screening of “Partner with the Enemy - Making it in the Middle East” (2015).
In the midst of the ever-fraught Israeli-Palestinian political landscape, two women, one Israeli and one Palestinian, attempt the seemingly impossible: to build a business together. Fighting against societal and family pressure, anti-normalization currents and a chauvinistic, male-dominated industry.
The movie's spoken languages are Hebrew and Arabic, Subtitles will be available in English.
After the screening we will be joined by a speaker for a discussion in light of May Day and our current reality.
