About the Event
On May 14th at 19:00 (Jerusalem time) join Zochrot and TINAU on zoom for, “How to talk about the Nakba”. This event will be facilitated by Yaara Benger Alaluf (Zochrot) and Yaron Abhar Jackson (TINAU). This is an event for Jewish and non-Jewish folks who seek to take action and actively discuss the Nakba within their circles, in order to spread critical awareness of the catastrophe. If you feel slightly uncomfortable with the Nakba or come from a community in which it may be taboo to discuss the Nakba- this event is absolutely for you! The event will begin with a panel featuring Yasmin Rimer, Emily Hilton, Karen Isaacs, and Saadia Asgous, who will talk about personal experiences, understandings & thoughts, and ideas for activism abroad. Following the panel, there will be breakout room activities intended to hold space for continued and more personal discussions. As always- there will be time for questions and answers.
