Description

It is known that Israel was one of the countries to advocate for the establishment of the international refugee convention mostly because in 1951, after the 2nd world war, many Jewish people were afraid that refugees will not find help when needed. How does that work with the fact that in 1951 the Nakba was still burning (some would say till today). Why in a country that wanted an international law to protect refugees doesn’t have an asylum system? Why after more than 10 years having to deal with African refugees Israel is still lacking a practical system to process their files? we will discuss some key points in the African asylum seekers struggles in Israel, the power of the community facing the power of a government. what are the challenges, advantages and disadvantages that Ukrainian refugees are facing? And how is it connected to Palestinians? Join us to widen your Arabic skills to new important topics.
