Description

Let’s unpack Palestinian Poetry. This course will focus on Palestinian and Arabic poetry. We will explore different types of poetry and rewrite standard Arabic poems in dialectal Arabic. We will explore the overt and covert meaning of poems and discuss the cultural significance they have and had on Palestinian society, narrative, and culture. This course will also include works of folk poetry and folk songs.
